Psalms Series

The Book of Psalms is a collection of 150 poems, written by various authors. While some of the writers remain unknown, the majority of the psalms are attributed to the legendary King David.

King David was one of the most renowned and capable rulers of ancient Israel. Before he wore the crown, he was a warrior—brave and victorious. One of his most well-known feats was defeating Goliath, a giant enemy warrior, with nothing but a sling and a single stone.

Despite his triumphs, David’s path to kingship was far from easy. He spent years on the run, hiding from King Saul, who was consumed by jealousy. Only after Saul’s death in battle did David finally ascend to the throne.

Perhaps because of his hardships, many of David’s psalms begin with deep sorrow—expressions of fear, anger, loneliness, and helplessness. Yet no matter how heavy his heart, his words always return to a place of hope and praise. Each psalm ends with a flicker of light—a reminder that even in darkness, joy can be found.

To me, David was a poet before he was a king. His words are raw, emotional, and beautifully human. What moves me most is the intensity of the hope and joy he clung to, even in the bleakest of times.

Through my craft, I hope to share that same spirit with you. Having walked through some of life’s darkest valleys myself, I know how vital hope and joy can be. If these creations offer even a small spark of strength or comfort during your difficult moments, then they have fulfilled their purpose.
